Feel prepared before birth, and supported throughout it
In-person Raleigh doula support combined with intentional, body-based preparation — so you feel confident, capable, and ready to work with your body during labor.
This isn't just birth support.
Many doulas help you figure out your birth plan, then support you hands-on during labor.
That matters.
But when labor actually begins, your body is doing something completely new, and most people have no idea how to work with it.
This is where my approach is different.
We don’t just talk about your birth.
We prepare your body for it.
So when labor starts, you know exactly what to do.
Instead of going into birth feeling unsure of what to do and disconnected from your body....
You go in feeling:
Confident in how to move, breathe, and respond
Capable of working with your body through each stage
Prepared for both expected and unexpected moments
Supported by someone who knows you and your body
1) Understand Your Body
2) Prepare For Birth
3) Move with Intention

Meet Megan!
Hi, I'm Megan! I believe that knowledge and education gives us options in birth. But I also know from my years of being a pregnancy and postpartum fitness specialist, that the physical prep you do in pregnancy gives you even MORE options, as well as confidence that your body is capable to do this.
I firmly believe that the right person in your corner can completely change your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience. As your doula, I am not here to be the expert in your birth experience. I'm your guide and to help you advocate for what makes you feel safe and heard. I know that the birth space is sacred, and it is an honor to be invited into yours (one I don't take lightly!) My doula support is available in Raleigh, NC and surrounding areas.
Meet my Back-up Doula!
Hi, I'm Eden! I'm a wife, mom of two kids, and former school counselor. After the life changing experience that is giving birth, I've found my true calling in supporting families as they bring their own children into the world.
I believe that birth and postpartum are some of the most transformative moments in life that one can go through mentally, physically, and emotionally. It reconstructs you into an even more powerful and intuitive person, but also requires so much as an individual. Those going through these experiences deserve to be supported, empowered, and heard - never having to go it at alone. My goal is for my clients and their partners to be prepared for postpartum, have the resources they need, and have a positive birthing experience where they feel empowered, informed, confident, and supported in their choices. You will never forget these moments in your life, so you deserve for it to be as positive of an experience as possible!
“It is clear that Megan is passionate and knowledgable about what she's doing. She was always ready to answer my questions, and her support and guidance helped ease a lot of my fears surrounding birth. I did not like the feeling that so much was out of my control, so it felt great to be able to "control the controllable" with Megan's help. I have always been a consistent exerciser but wanted to make sure my workouts during pregnancy were safe for me and would strengthen me in ways that were beneficial for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Megan's support helped me to accomplish ALL those goals.”

"What if I’m already working out or staying active?"
"What if I’m dealing with pain that's impacting my ability to exercise?"
"What if I’m later on in my pregnancy?"
"Is this worth it if things don’t go exactly how I planned?"
"What if I don’t know what kind of birth I want yet?"
"What makes this different from hiring a standard doula?"
Being active is great, and has so many benefits for a healthy pregnancy and baby. But the truth is, many workouts aren't designed with labor and birth in mind. My approach helps you to utilize your breath and core more effectively, connect with your pelvic floor (which matters big time in labor), move in ways that are going to support you in labor.
This is exactly where working with someone who is trained in prenatal fitness becomes a game changer. We work together to figure our where the pain is originating from, and develop a plan to reduce discomfort, avoid making things worse, and make your daily living experience more enjoyable.
It's never to late to hire a doula, but I do take on a limited number of births each month. I recommend reaching out as early as possible to get on my schedule! If I am booked out, I will happily refer to other doulas in my area that I know and trust!
That's completely normal! I support all kinds of births. Part of this process is helping you understand your options, work through different scenarios, and make decisions that feel most aligned for you.
Birth is unpredictable, and the goal is not to control the outcome. The goal is to help you feel prepared, informed and confident in your decisions. It's also worth mentioning that everything we do for birth prep benefits your postpartum experience and how you recover.
Most birth doulas focus on prenatal education, emotional support, and hands-on in-person labor support. This includes all of that, but focuses on preparing your body physically ahead of time. Birth is like a marathon, and getting your body ready in pregnancy is your training period. This matters more than people realize, and is why it's a big focus in this package!
"I felt safe during the most vulnerable days of my life, I learnt about breathing which I still practice 9 months postpartum, and also learnt movements for pregnant and postpartum women and avoided doing the wrong things. They made a big difference in [how prepared and confident I felt going into] my unmedicated birth.
— SB
"Week after week, I could see and feel real progress in my body. I feel so prepared for birth now. Meg helped me get ready for both medicated and unmedicated options, so I feel confident no matter what happens. I can’t thank her enough for helping me feel this strong, capable, and empowered during such a transformative time in my life."
